The agMOOCs Consortium, initiated and supported by the Commonwealth of Learning, will be offering two massive open online courses (MOOCs) starting on 20th February 2018. The courses, ‘Fundamentals of Agricultural Extension’ and ‘Integrated Disease Management,’ are available to learners anywhere in the world at no cost.
According to the agMOOCs Consortium, no prior learning in these subjects is required for learners. The MOOCs are offered at the level of a course in an undergraduate programme.
Since 2015, the agMOOCs Consortium has offered a total of 16 MOOCs covering about 27,000 learners from over 100 countries. About 5,600 learners have received certificates of participation or competency.
