Registration is open for our massive open online course on Management of Metabolic and Production Disorders in Cattle, a six-week course starting on 31 May 2022 for veterinary students and practicing veterinarians.
The course will cover diagnosis and management of production disorders in cattle including hypocalcaemia (milk fever), downer cow syndrome, ketosis in ruminants, bovine mastitis, post-parturient haemoglobinuria, and hypomagnesemia tetany.
Commonwealth of Learning (COL) is partnering with the faculty of Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS) and the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) to make this course available.
Professor Wale Adekunle, COL Adviser, Lifelong Learning for Farmers said, “Metabolic disorders in cattle can lead to financial losses for the owners due to weak reproductive performance and decrease in dairy production. I encourage all veterinarians to attend this course so they can develop an understanding of such conditions, prevent them from taking place and or treating them in early stages.”
