A new issue (Vol. 5, No. 2) of the Journal of Learning for Development (JL4D) has just been released. It covers a wide range of topics related to open and distance learning and the adoption of open educational resources. Two special features titled ‘Learning for Development in the Context of South Africa: Considerations for Open Education resources in Improving Higher Education Outcomes’ by Professor Narend Baijnath (COL Board Member) and ‘Education for Development: from distance to open education’ by Professor Alan Tait (Emeritus Editor of JL4D ) are published in this issue.
