The Commonwealth of Learning (COL), in collaboration with the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), is pleased to announce the launch of the third offering of a four-week Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Open Educational Resources (OER) for Online Learning.
OER has been recognised as a means of providing useful and quality content in the various fields of study, however, it is observed that despite the availability of these useful resources, many do not know how to integrate it in teaching and learning. Participants will therefore learn how to plan, write, integrate and appraise an online learning content using OER.
Professor Jane-Frances Agbu, COL Adviser: Higher Education commented,
“COL continues to champion the use of OER in teaching and learning. This first and second offerings of this MOOC had notable enrolments of 4,359 learners and this offering promises to be equally in demand, providing both synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences to learners.”
Course start date is 31 October 2022.
