COLCommons, a platform for competency-based, professional-development micro-courses launched by COL earlier this year has won three international awards. The Excellence in Technology Awards were announced by the Brandon Hall Group on 9 December 2021.
Dr Sanjaya Mishra, COL Education Specialist: eLearning, said: “The awards recognise our innovations in providing need-based solutions to scale learning opportunities. The platform has already attracted nearly 20,000 registrations and will continue to grow, meeting just-in-time learning needs in open, distance and online learning.”
The platform won silver medals under the categories of “Best Advance in Learning Management Technology for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses” and “Best Advance in Learning Management Technology.” It also received a bronze medal for the “Best Advance in Technology for Testing or Learning Evaluation.”
A panel of independent senior industry experts, and Brandon Hall Group senior analysts and executives evaluated the entries based upon the following criteria: product’s breakthrough innovation, unique differentiators, and value proposition, as well as the benefits customers can expect as a result of using it.
