This online course, ‘Women Leadership in ODL’, has been developed by the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) as a follow-up to its face-to-face training programme for ‘Women in Leadership in ODL organisations’ and to respond to the needs of women in leadership positions in non-government and civil society organisations.

With a commitment to advancing diversity and inclusivity and respecting, protecting and fulfilling rights, COL leverages its vast experience of seeing women leaders in action who have transformed societies through formal and non-formal education to bring leadership awareness to a broad number of women across the widest possible geographical area.

Today, women leaders are advocating for more inclusive and accessible digital learning platforms to cater for diverse learning needs while fostering a culture of continuous learning. This push towards digital learning is not just about integrating technology into education; it’s about transforming how we learn and empowering women to participate in the digital world.

Who is the target audience?

This course is designed for mid-career women working in ODL institutions and women who are aspiring to take up leadership in ODL and ICT-based fields.
