Dr Betty Obura Ogange joined COL on 1 June 2017 as Adviser: Teacher Education. On March 2, 2020, she was appointed as Education Specialist: Teacher Education. Before joining COL, Dr Ogange was the Director of the eCampus of Maseno University in Kenya where she helped establish a virtual campus offering eLearning courses to both on-campus and off-campus students.
Dr Ogange has worked in teacher education and information and communications technology (ICT) for many years as an academic, senior manager, consultant, and researcher in both local and international programmes.
She holds a PhD (ICT in Education) from The Open University UK, MA (Applied Linguistics) from Lancaster University, UK, and MSc (Information Systems) from Sunderland University, UK. She also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PDGE) and BA degree from Egerton University, Kenya.
