In collaboration with the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), COL is hosting a massive open online course (MOOC) on open educational resources (OER).

The four-week MOOC starting 14 March 2022 targets educational practitioners, trainers, researchers and others who are interested in building their knowledge on how to use OER for teaching and learning.

The course will introduce participants to fundamentals of integrating OER into online learning and their use for content development. Synchronous sessions will enable real-time interaction with facilitators for hands-on experience.

“The need for OER has become critical in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic and has a significant potential to contribute to educational recovery. The course will provide both synchronous and asynchronous experiences to learners,” said Professor Jane-Frances Agbu, COL Adviser: Higher Education.
